about kc

I was born and raised in San Diego California, where my creativeness was always encouraged and supported by those in my life. With an artistic mom and an innovative thinker dad, the apple didn’t fall very far from the creative tree.

I tried practically every creative outlet but found my true passion in photography, which, I turned into my career as a music portrait photographer.

As creative and fulfilling as it was, the stress and toll it took on my physical and mental health became impossible to ignore and a few years ago I stepped away from my career in need of time to heal and find my creative spark that had diminished along the way.

During this interim, is when I discovered my true love and innate understanding of plants. What started as fulfilling my own need for natural body and home care products due to my chemical sensitivities stemming from my life long battle with chronic migraines, turned into something much more the further I fell down the botanical rabbit hole. With time, education, and literally getting my hands dirty, I now have a better understanding of plant uses, , drape, and benefits.

I have a great passion for working with plants and turning them into

One of my greatest passions in fashion is in material composition. I generally find that quality textiles are composed of natural fibers. My first instinct is always to touch material, looking for a cloth that feels good against the skin, something that will stand up to the test of time. The quality of fabric is so important to me that I often design items after finding the material, rather than looking for the material to fit a design. All my shop items are currently made with 100% linen, but in the future you may find some of my other favorites, including wool, cotton, and silk.

Seeking a quieter, slower paced existance, I recently left the hustle and bustle of Southern California behind for Bandon, a small seaside town along the southern Oregon coast.

Here by the sea it’s a slower, sweeter pace of life filled with nature, pine trees, black tail deer, and a roving gang of wild turkeys that hang out by the mailboxes down the road.

It’s a vital part of my existance. It calms me, soothes me, inspires me, and regenerates me. No matter what happens, I can always count on the salty, sweet air of the ocean to right any wrong.
